Plus, the GOP is working hard to make this connection. Fuck, they don't even really have to try to do it because it's real easy to do for the Red Scare generation.  It's not really a paradox...it's  Header Papa Claus Merry Christmas Shirt only a paradox if you speak in absolutes and literally, no one is when they talk about tolerance. Like of course there's a limit. You'd have to be intentionally obtuse to see it any other way. The key there is "without limit". The lesson to learn isn't to go be intolerant of any and all intolerance. For society to work, we pretty much need to be as tolerant as possible. The lesson to learn is where are the limits, but that is a super complex and nuanced thing that gets drowned out. The answer is that intolerance cannot be tolerated.
